Migraine is a highly prevalent disease. According to the American Migraine Foundation, over 37 million men, women, and children in the United States were impacted by migraines in 2019. They also estimate that 148 million people in the world suffer from migraines. Though these numbers are substantial, migraines are frequently underdiagnosed and undertreated, with fewer than 5% of people with migraines being managed by a healthcare provider or receiving an accurate diagnosis and appropriate care.
